Well, my first foray into Grafton FM was a pretty good success, all live and no gremlins in the system.

I was only a tiny bit overwhelmed, mostly from all the things that had gone wrong while doing drive on am, but after talking to our resident techie, a quick wipe of the database SHOULD do the trick for Monday – Let’s hope!

It’s Caturday and let me tell you right off the bat, F*#k it’s hot… 38 outside and even with the aircon on full it’s 32! There’s a tonne of haze about, which means the fruitloops will be out in force, much like when there is a full moon in Brisbane – except most here are in Tshirt or flannel o.O

So what are my plans for today?

Work on the AM site a bit more (only a bit) relax and send as much warmth, love and inspiration to my girl.. She has been in quite a fair bit of pain of late and I feel so incredibly helpless not being able to at the very least give her a cuddle and bring her coffee or lunch.. |#|) <– Virtual cup of coffee!..

What else has been happening? Oh, new mobile and number.. mmm Nokia E71 Goodness! tis all black and shiny!

Lest We Forget.

One of the things I have learnt about myself is that I have fantastic intuition… My ‘Spidey senses’… It’s like my mum being able to smell and oncoming rainstorm and me not being about to smell bupkiss..

What i hate about them is the way they make me feel at times. About 10 minutes before I got the call from 2GF about the job – it struck me… and it was a really good feeling, loved it! The morning Dad died I got it, but I didn’t understand the feeling – so i ignored it.

Sometimes I wish I could stop feeling them, for me and also for the people who I feel. Then again, it has saved my bacon on a couple of occasions and has made me think (like it did today) of whether I need to continue on the path I am on or step onto another path… I trust my senses, but my trust in people is waning.

If only people understood that their actions affect others, even if they don’t do something directly at them.

Well hey there…. How have you been?

I’m back in radio – been back for a week now, some minor teething problems – but all-in-all I’m happy and starting to settle.

Grafton is about a hour northish from Coffs Harbour, in the Clarence Valley of New South Wales.

The town centre is centred around Prince Street although Grafton Shoppingworld has all the big name stores.

I am Senior Announcer for 2GF, I drive the afternoon program and on the weekend I throw Breakfast in mayhem on FM1047.

I want to thank a couple of people for steering me along (and back) into the announcers seat: Firstly Ben from 4GY – your push was exactly what I needed!
Mads: You are my rock, my shoulder to lean on and my saving grace.
Taz: You saw the light in my eyes everytime I spoke about radio..

K, a list was made of places I wanted to goto and I thought i would share them with you.

10:     Any kind of Train tour

I love the freedom of getting on a train and just travelling, getting off again, seeing the sights and the clickity clack of the tracks.

9:     Central/Northern Victoria

I rarely drink wine, but seem to love going to vineyards (I remember taking a drive to Stanthorpe and stopping in this quaint little vineyard.. very comfy leather lounge!)

I also would like to get back into horse riding (No, I never told you that!) getting on the back of a massive stockhorse and riding through the grey gum forests…

8:     Perth and the western coast

…and someone told me that the water goes round the wrong way… need to investigate!

7:     Melbourne

The music scene is incredible! and the food Wow!

6:     Blue Mountains

I had THE BEST Creme Brulee EVER!

Cradle Mountain, Cheese tours and the Cadbury factory tour (HELLO!)

4:     Snowy Mountains

Two reasons for going to the snowy’s

SNOW:  Never seen it.

More horse riding

3:     Cairns

I would like to try Scuba diving, someone said it was an incredible experience and I got hooked (didn’t see THAT coming either eh?)

2:     Uluru National Prak and the Katherine region

The world’s largest monolith – need I say more?

Experience the beautiful landscape, the sunset…

I want to try and master the kayak.. was shit at it in primary school.

and the number 1 place I would like to goto (and it was decided by influence!):

1:     Brampton Island and the Whitsundays

I was talking about this list to someone and they spoke about the beauty and the fun..

the experience has moved hosting providers. this meant that the site was out of action for awhile, now it is back up and because I am a lazy fuck, I’m going blog style baby!

Today is Ben’s birthday, my little man turns 8! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
